Artifacts in Clay
Location: Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada
Christie Chaplin-Saunders is a graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and of Sheridan College School of Craft and Design. She is the 2005 recipient of the ACCAE awards for Excellence in Product Design for her functional ceramics that reflect the beauty of nature.
Due to the handcrafted nature of her art, each piece is unique. Enjoy these works as home accents or at your table. Artifacts in Clay's glazes are lead free, stable, and are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
We at Northern Tides are sad to announce that as of Fall 2011, Christie Chaplin-Saunders is no longer producing her beautiful art. Her urchin bowls were amongst the first products we offered in 2007 and quickly became one of our “signature” offerings.
We wish Christie, her family, and everyone at Artifacts in Clay all the best in their future endeavors. We cherish the friendships that we’ve made over the past years and hope that someday they will be able to re-join our family of artisans.
Note: We have a very limited selection of pieces still available. Please call or e-mail for further information.
