Cobscook Trails, which began in 1996, is a cooperative project of conservation organizations, land owners, and community partners who seek to expand opportunities for nature based recreation and tourism in Eastern Washington County.
The Cobscook Trail Guide is 56 pages of maps, birding locations, eco-tourist walks, nature hikes, driving directions and hiking level of difficulty. It includes Roosevelt Campobello Internation Park, Hamilton Cover Preserve, Lubec: a 376 acre wild preserve offering a three mile round trip hike and shorter walks to a cobble beach and observation platform, the legendary Bold Coast Trail, and Mowry Beach, Lubec: a 48 acre preservation property offering access to 1800 feet of conserved shoreline and sandy beach frontage, a wheelchair accessible trail and boardwalk.
