We started making Maine Mud® back in 1996 to help pay for a new barn roof. We make our Muds from scratch in a country kitchen in small batches using the finest ingredients. Our sauces do not contain preservatives or emulsifiers. These are deep, dark chocolate sauces - not for the faint of heart!

Our Muds are great on ice cream, cake, cream puffs, fresh fruit or right off the spoon. Once tried, folks want no substitute. Let us help you with simplified gift-giving for family, friends, colleagues, or for yourself! Just about everybody loves chocolate and our Maine Mud® is enjoyed for its yummy flavor and touch of whimsy. We hope you enjoy our old-fashioned dark chocolate sauces. One taste and they will bring you back to your own memories of days gone by.

And that new barn roof? We were able to finish it off and save the barn. It’s a 200-year-old pegged barn and there aren’t too many of them that are still standing. So, while we felt wonderful to be able to sell our Muds, we felt even better to be able to save and preserve our barn! Thanks to all of you who have bought our Muds over the years - we appreciate it!
