Down East Enterprise:
The Legend of Burial Island
A whiff of the exotic breezes onto Penobscot Island when a Middle Eastern princess is sent to summer there. It all begins when a friend goes missing during a foray to fetch fiddleheads on an abandoned island. Bean finds him when the Coast Guard cannot, and the pals note a strange black lobster boat lurking at sea. While Ab falls under the influence of the snooty princess, the boys go camping and endure a frightening encounter with a "Banshee" who seeks to scare them away from their campsite.
In a tale overflowing with adventurous episodes, these young people pull off narrow escapes, and bizarre occurrences seem to indicate that the creepy legends surrounding Burial Island might not be merely folk tales after all. Finally, these teens not only solve a baffling mystery but they get some clues about the importance of loyalty and friendship, too.
