Book Review: Somewhere in the north, where the winters are long and dark, the adults decide to brighten their children’s days by creating snow figures. While the children sleep, their elders use snow to create men and women, children and pets, and much more. When the children awake, they join in the fun, building more and more snowpeople -- so many, in fact, that they surround the nearby lake with them. Neighboring villagers come to see the marvelous figures, and the snowpeople bring cheer to all who see them. But snow does not last forever, and when the snowpeople melt, the villagers must find a new way to keep the spirit of the snowpeople alive in their hearts.
