Keely Felton

Location: Vinalhaven, Maine

Keely Felton grew up in Pensylvania and spent her summers on Vinalhaven, Maine. As soon as she graduated from college, she moved to Vinalhaven where she met her husband, Mike, and had her two children, Anya and Isaiah. She works as the part-time director for a small non-profit on Vinalhaven, Partners in Island Education, which raises funds for arts and enrichment opportunities for the students who attend the K-12 school on the island.

Keely picked up needle felting as a hobby and has just begun selling her work at galleries in Maine and New Hampshire. She finds small nuggets of time to create after the kids, 1 and 3 years-old, are in bed. She currently splits her time between Vinalhaven and Seattle, where her husband is attending Law School, with hopes of returning to Maine full time after graduation.
