Northern Tides is so pleased to share with you that painter Sharon Yates’ “Mixed Flowers With Towel” is one of the paintings featured in American Artist Magazine, February, 2011 issue.
As one amongst more than 30 painters, Sharon Yates participated in a recent exhibition organized by Zeuxis, an association of still life painters founded in New York City in 1994. Zeuxis asked participating artists to create a painting incorporating a simple household item, a kitchen towel. The exhibit is appropriately named “The Common Object.”
American Artist allotted a full page to Sharon’s painting (p.57) and an additional half page to Sharon’s background and artist’s statement (p. 56).
We hope that all Northern Tides’ patrons will laud this most recent accomplishment of Ms. Yates, as do we. Congratulations, Sharon!
