D.D. Tyler

D. D. Tyler is a natural history artist noted for her fine detail, scientific accuracy, and strong distinctive design.
She has illustrated 15 books including Bears of the World, Keepers of the Animals, A Field Guide to the Whales, Porpoises and Seals of the Gulf of Maine and Eastern Canada, and the Appalachian Mountain Club's Guide to Mount Desert and Acadia National Park. Outstanding Science Book Awards have been presented for three of her books.
Tyler has created over 150 nature designs that are printed on t-shirts by Liberty Graphics of Liberty, Maine.
Tyler operates Tyler Publishing which markets her nature designs on postcards, bookmarks, note cards, prints and posters.
Art and nature are the focus of extensive world travels. Leisure activities include hiking, canoeing, organic gardening, bee keeping and cooking.
D. D. Tyler lives in Hallowell, Maine with her husband, Hank.
