I am a largely self taught artist who has lived in remote Downeast Maine for the last two decades. While I love to garden, paint and draw, my greatest creative joy is hand crafting beautiful jewelry out of found objects.

I search for every piece of sea glass that I use, spending many peaceful hours walking the beaches. I use it in its natural state, never shaping, polishing or tumbling the sea glass. I find the exploration of the tension between the organic shapes and the symmetry of design compelling. At my workbench I incorporate my love of color, design, and whimsy into my creations hopefully instilling in each piece the joy and excitement that I feel at being alive.

Northern Tides carries a wide variety of Laura Pierce's sea glass jewelry: brooches, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Prices vary depending on the rarity of the glass.
