Lisa M. Dellwo took up photography in 2003 when she had the opportunity to travel to Antarctica. Since then, she has honed her craft during extensive travels and at home in the Hudson Valley and in Lubec, where she spends much of each summer.
Lisa captures the quiet beauty of coastal Maine in classic landscape photography. She also experiments with abstract effects that are created by breaking the traditional rules of photography: moving the camera rather than holding it steady, using a slower exposure than necessary, and embracing soft edges rather than sharp focus. She hopes to use these techniques in the coming years to produce original images of Maine.
