This gentle story follows a calf and his mother as the young moose learns about the other creatures in his woodland world, some of which seem a bit scary at first. After an adventurous day in which the two moose become separated, the calf is reunited with its mother and is ready for a well-deserved rest. The book includes a page of interesting moose facts. A Moose’s Morning is the third in a series of wild animal babies books by Pamela Love. A Loon Alone and A Cub Explores are the other two titles in the series.
Author Information: PAMELA LOVE, a former teacher, has seen dozens of her stories and poems published in children’s magazines such as Ladybug, Babybug, Cricket, Pockets, and Highlights for Children. She is also the author of four other children’s books. Pamela lives in Columbia, Maryland.
Illustrator Information: Illustrator LESIA SOCHOR, a graduate of the University of the Arts, lives in Brooks, Maine. This is her second book.
